Dear Parents/Guardians,
As you may be aware, the Wrightstown Community School District (WCSD) transitioned to a new student information system last summer called Skyward Qmlativ. This transition made it very challenging to collect annual directory data during the summer of 2024.
The WCSD is planning on performing this task during the upcoming summer as part of an annual registration for all students and families.
In preparation for this summer registration, at this time we are asking all families to acknowledge a permission form regarding your child’s directory information. Starting this process now, will allow for secretarial support for families because school is in session. During the summer there will be limited support available. Doing this now will also ensure that we are in compliance with current regulations and that your family’s preferences regarding the disclosure of directory information are up to date and fully respected.
The information we are collecting is typically used for the following purposes:
School and District newsletters and communications
School event publications in newspapers
Yearbook publications
Recognition in public programs, presentations, and awards
The permission form you are being asked to review allows you to either opt in or opt out of having your child’s information included in the directory. If you do not respond, we will assume that you consent to the inclusion of your child’s directory data in these materials. However, if you prefer to restrict the use of certain types of information, please indicate this on the electronic form.
We understand that the timing of this request may feel unexpected, and we appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. We are committed to ensuring the privacy and safety of all our students and maintaining transparent communication with our school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child’s school office.
